Gold History Americas
The Americas have been found to have large amounts of gold, but this was discovered much later than gold in other parts of the world that has been found. While in some parts of the world one of the more famous instances of gold being found in the Americas was when it was found in the United States of America and started the gold rush. This happened around 1848, which is part of the reason why some of the individuals who traveled a great ways to get there and who were some of the first to go there were called forty-niners.
During the gold rush there where individuals who came from all over the united states and even other parts of the world and from all walks of life to be able to dig for gold and hope to be able to find some in the hopes of making a better life for the people they love or getting money that they would be able to use for what they needed or for other reasons. This first began when one man. James Wilson Marshall first found gold in America in California at SutterÃs Mill which is in Coloma.
In all actuality, the European search for the Americas was said to have been fueled by looking for gold. This came from rumors that were heard about Native Americans and the gold they supposedly used on a daily basis. There have still been even more amounts of gold that have been found throughout the Americas in different parts of history. There have even been some lucky individuals who have bought property and after buying the property found out that there was gold on it that was worth a great deal. The purer the gold, is the more likely it is to be worth more.
