The Gold Daric of Persia is the First Persian Gold Coin. It's the First International Gold Coin of Ancient international Commence. It's the First Gold Coin mentioned in the Bible's Old Testament. The Gold Daric is referenced 3 separate times. (Chronicles 1 29:7 / Ezra 8:27 / Nehemiah 7:70-72) This coin was born out of the Fall of Babylon by the first Persian King, Cyrus the Great. After the capture the city of Babylon in 539 BC, the ancient world's capital of scholarship and science.
Cyrus' son, King Darius I, introduced this 98 to 99% high purity gold coin in 520 BC. The Obverse depicts an archer, (king/hero) the Reverse has a simple incuse punch mark (size approx. size 15 x 18 mm).
